Installing Office 365 on Mac OS X

This is the Mac version of my Installing Office 365 for SNHU Students guide. Please use that guide if you have Windows 7, 8, 8.1, 10.

Login to Microsoft Portal

Login to the Microsoft Portal at In the Email field, enter your SNHU student email address.

When you tab or click in the password field, you'll be taken to the MySNHU login page. Enter your email & password.

Download the Installer

As soon as you are logged in, you'll be able to download the installer. Click on the “Install Office 2016” button on the upper right of the page.

Save the installer

As you'll notice, the installer is very large! It may take a while depending on your connection.

Install Office

Go to your Downloads (or where ever you saved the Office installer) and open the Office.pkg file.

The installer will start.

Follow the Installer. It will take a few minutes to install.

Success! Your Office is now ready to use. Find it in the Application tray.
